If you’ve ever looked at the ocean and thought, “You know what would make this better? Pedaling a bike suspended hundreds of feet in the air,” then congratulations—you’re our kind of people.
On our recent trip to Cabo San Lucas, we checked off one of the most thrilling experiences we’ve ever done: Sky Bikes by Cactus Tours. And yes… it was just as wild as it sounds.
Seamless Pickup & Arrival
Our adventure started the easy way—Cactus Tours arrived at our resort right on schedule. From there, we made a few stops at other resorts to pick up fellow thrill-seekers before heading to the Cactus Tours location.
Once we arrived, it was clear this place knows adventure. They offer a variety of excursions including ATV riding, camel rides, horseback riding, and of course—the main event for us—Sky Bikes.
Check-In & First Glimpse of the Towers
At the desk, our reservation was quickly confirmed and we were introduced to our guide. We were given lockers for our personal items (huge plus), then loaded into a Jeep for a short transfer to the beachside facility.
And that’s when it happened.
We saw the Sky Bike towers.
Tall. Massive. Slightly intimidating.
Cue the nerves.
Looking up at those towers with bikes strung across the sky is when your brain says, “This seemed like a great idea five minutes ago.”
Harnessed Up & Ready to Ride
Sky Bikes is the newest tour at Cactus Tours, which worked in our favor—when we walked up to the first tower, we were suited up immediately.
Harness on. Helmet secure.
Then… onto the bikes.
Before launching, the guides explained everything clearly—especially the golden rule:
👉 Always keep pedaling unless you want to get very familiar with hanging in the middle of the sky.
Noted.
Three Towers. One Epic Ride.
🚴 Tower One:
As soon as we started pedaling, you could feel the bike shake slightly beneath you—which somehow made it both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. Adrenaline? Activated.
🚴 Tower Two (The Big One):
Once we reached the second tower, the guides smoothly transferred our bikes to the next line, locked us in, and sent us off again.
This was the longest stretch, running right beside the ocean. The views were unreal—waves crashing below, endless blue water, and us pedaling through the sky like we totally do this all the time.
This section took a little more effort, so we definitely kept pedaling.
🚴 Tower Three & Final Ride:
At the third tower, we paused for some fun photos while they moved our bikes to the final line. Fully locked in, we took off one last time.
By now, the fear had turned into pure fun—but we also knew the ride was coming to an end (sad face).
As we rolled into the final platform, we noticed photographers snapping shots—and that’s when we learned there was also a drone filming the entire experience. Yep. Evidence from every angle.
Lunch, Camels & “Proof It Happened”
After the Sky Bike ride, we headed back to the main facility where lunch and drinks were waiting for us. Because nothing says “I survived” like tacos and a cold drink.
Then came another surprise—we were taken down to see the camels and even got to take photos with them. (Because Cabo.)
Back at the desk, we grabbed our belongings from the lockers and reviewed the photos and videos from the ride.
And let’s be honest…
We bought a photo package.
Because no one would believe we did this without proof.
Our motto stands strong: If there are no photos or videos, it didn’t happen. 😂
Would We Do It Again?
In a heartbeat.
Sky Bikes by Cactus Tours is a must-do for anyone who loves adventure, epic views, and experiences that make your friends say, “Wait… you did WHAT?”
If you’re heading to Cabo and want help booking unforgettable experiences like this one, you know where to find us.
Until our next adventure… 🚴♂️🌊
